How to share the gospel with Muslims

It’s a privilege to share the gospel with Muslims. And while it can be one of the most loving, joyful things you’ll ever do, it can seem hard getting started. So let me point you in the right direction.

For years, I invested time and effort to build relationships and lead Muslims to Christ without any fruit. I knew the harvest was plentiful and that there were plenty of Muslims God was preparing. I just wondered how to find them.

Have you ever felt like this?

When God opened my eyes to some empowering truths in the Bible, I stopped wasting time laboring with Muslims who were not yet ready for the gospel. I began working smarter by asking three simple questions and looking for clues that God was at work preparing hearts to receive the Good News. Then I began leading many Muslims to faith in Christ.

What joy it is to pray with unbelievers to accept Christ!

Six years ago, I taught these three questions to Bri*, a teacher just out of college.  She didn’t yet know any Muslims in her city. And she aprilblog4didn’t know anything about Islam, the Quran or the culture. However, she knew she was redeemed to redeem others. She took to heart Jesus’ words in Matthew [28:19]

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them int he name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

While Bri wasn’t called to be an evangelist, she knew we are all called to evangelize. And so, she was willing and eager to get the courage, confidence and know-how to cross cultural and religious divides to share the gospel with Muslims in her city.

Bri started by intentionally engaging with Muslims around her. She began asking them three key questions and practicing five simple, biblical “Essentials” that she’d learned from iHOPE resources. She grew as an authentic Christian witness to Muslims, and she quickly began seeing fruit. Bri has since led two Muslims to Christ in her city.

“I learned to quickly find Muslims who were interested in knowing more about Jesus. I stopped struggling with Muslims who were not interested.” Bri

God wants to do the same through you!
